1. *Draft Structure*
– *Rounds:* The TEBA League Draft will consist of 2 rounds.
– *Selections per Round:* Each round will include 30 players available for selection.
– *Team Selections:* Teams may choose to select players for each of their picks in the draft or opt out of selecting a player at a particular draft position.
2. *Player Compensation*
– *First Round Compensation:*
– Players selected in the first round will be eligible for a salary ranging from 2,000 baht to 900 baht per game.
– First-round picks must be signed to a two-season agreement.
– *Second Round Compensation:*
– Players selected in the second round will be eligible for a salary ranging from 1,000 baht to 500 baht per game.
3. *Contract Rules*
– *Draft Period Restrictions:*
– Teams are prohibited from discussing salaries with players during the draft period. Only potential selection can be discussed.
– Teams are not allowed to offer contracts to players submitted into the draft before the draft begins.
– *Contract Uploads:*
– All signed player contracts must be uploaded to the team’s designated folder within 24 hours of signing. Failure to do so will render the contract void.
4. *Returning Player Rules*
– *Return Limits:*
– Teams may bring back up to 3 Thai passport holders and 1 local import (expat living in Thailand) from the previous season.
– *First-Round Exception:*
– Due to the mandatory two-season agreement for first-round picks, teams may end up with more than the standard 3 returning Thai players and 1 local import in the following season. This means some teams could potentially have up to 8 players returning.
5. *Waiver and Trade Window*
– *5-Day Waiver and Trade Period:*
– Teams will have a 5-day window prior to the season kickoff to waive and trade players.
– During this period, teams must update the player roster document and player status for each player they wish to have as an active member of their roster.
– Failure to update the player status and roster document within the waiver and trade timeframe will result in a $100 fee per infraction.
6. *Penalties*
– *Fines for Infractions:*
– Any team found violating the rules regarding salary discussions or pre-draft contract offers will be fined $200 per infraction.
– Teams failing to update the player roster document and status within the waiver and trade window will incur a $100 fee per infraction.
These rules ensure fairness, transparency, and compliance throughout the draft process and preseason activities, allowing teams to manage their rosters effectively.
